 Re: Progress
We're a small guild and have ppl with families. Your schedule incorporates all days in a week. That is not possible for, atleast not for me. We should set a raiding schedule and stick with it, since it's the only thing we do regularly and together (needs coordination). AND also i'd like ppl to get better with time (discipline), wednesday we didn't start raiding (for real) until 21:30, that's a 30 mins minus the raid time we got, which is already minor as it is. Wednesday will never be a progress day, never. It will be THE farm day for content we already know and can. I think that's why we had all time high in signups and no ppl enough for progress raid last tuesday. When we progress deeper into the instance, we might even have to use thursday to farm content, leaving us no day to progress (or at most some minutes on thursday). I stick with what I stated earlier, sunday as progress day! PvP -we don't pvp, we're afraid of it! (atleast most of us! RP? We don't RP anymore! What we do together is raid, so start with scheduling what we do!

 Re: Progress
Balaim
The team that has been raiding ICC since the start will never EVER raid on a Sunday, or Saturday for that matter.
Maybe we ditch the RP and PvP ideas for Monday/Tuesday to progress?? but weekend 10 man all guild raiding will not happen unless we recruit a ton more people because a good chunk of the weekday team just cannot commit to weekend WoW also.
The reason there was no progress raid on Thursday last week is because it was not put on the calendar until Wednesday night. (the night before)
As I have said before, this re-birth of the guild with me leading it was built around raiding weeknights because most of the people do IRL stuff at the weekends and WoW is second fiddle.
I will make no secret that one of the main reasons I chose not to let the guild die was to build a guild around my own schedule, to allow me to play the way I wanted to and during the times I had available - so people were initially recruited with that in mind.
Now if there is a big enough group of people who want to raid 10 man at weekends then fine - I would love to see it happen. But we just dont have the membership to cover it.
Feel free to work with others to make this a reality - I have tried to provide all of the tools and the environment for people to play in the style we all seem to like playing in. So if you want to do something, get together with others who feel the same way and do something about it - in this case, recruit 10 man weekend raiders who fit into our family.
I will give all the help and support I can to make this happen. We have 25 man Vent, Website, Forums, ALL guild bank tabs which are very well stocked, fantastic history/story/heritage - what other tools could we want to get the job done??

 Re: Progress
Ok, i hear what yer sayin. But, when I log on on sundays, i see almost always 10 ppl online. Isn't that strange? What can ppl be doing sunday evenings anyways, besides swallowing the anxiety of another working week to come? Have we been checking the other small raiding guilds interest in maybe getting a raiding undertstanding going? Have we, maybe to start with, identified them?

 Re: Progress
Thats not the problem, sure people might be on-line on Sundays, but its not a guarantee, People like to do other things and they might do said things on a Sunday - A lot of people just wont want to commit to raiding on a Sunday.

 Re: Progress
Also the raid understanding thing doesn't really work out, you guys are testament to this all that ended up happening was you joined us. We tried it with WrG a while back and that didn't go anywhere either

 Re: Progress
Dont let this thread go down the swanny with tit for tat comments please.
Merging is fine as long as its the right people - raid co-alitions are semi organised PuGs at best.
The merger with Storm Hammers was good for us and good for them so lets draw a line under that one straight away.
You are right Balaim that quite often there will be enough people to raid online of a Sunday evening but what Gio says is correct too, its not something I think people will commit to.
But look, we can sit here and debate this forever, the only way to tell will be to put something on for say next Sunday (well in advance) and see what response we get ?
I still dont feel Sundays are going to work with the current people we have as a lot of people go out and socialise or like to spend time with family and WoW at the weekends is an afterthought.
I will put an ICC progression raid on for next Sunday the 21st and lets see what happens. Then we will know for sure. Feel free to recruit and find some willing 'mergese' between now and then.

Yeah sounds good. Torgar wrote: Merging is fine as long as its the right people - raid co-alitions are semi organised PuGs at best.
Don't agree, I raided whole TBC content in a guild that raided with another guild, we were tight like hell!
