With the translation book scribed, the uncovering of the ancient warning began.....

Khaldur tried his best to use the magical book to decipher the ancient and unknown runes upon the stone tablets. Here follows a rough translation of one tablet....

The Tablet of Aman'Thul

Before the time of the Makers, before Titans ever gazed upon the world now known as Azeroth, ancient evils ruled the scorched surface of the lands. Entities of great and terrible power claimed lordship together with their wast armies of Elementals. Upon the arrival of us, known as the Makers, a gigantic struggle of cosmic proportions took place. Whole mountains shattered to dust and the seas boiled. But not even the combined powers of the Pantheon was enough to slay these 'Old Gods', and we were forced to chain them deep beneath the surface of the world, to remain shackled forever and their Elemental armies banished from this plane of existence.

Should the bonds that imprisoned this evil ever break, it would be the doom of all things living. Not even the combined strength of the Dragon Aspects and all their flights would withstand the terrible fury of the Old Gods if they were released from their prison.

It has been forseen that the chains that shackle them can be weakened and even break. If the lands of Azeroth itself suffers a great wound, much of the strength in the bonds that chains them flows from Azeroth itself and this could prove cataclysimic.

If that should happen the only hope for all that live is to mend the bonds, to perform the 'Rite of Ancients'. Without our aid, the only way to gather the required powers is to use the Old Gods powers against them. To use the power of these ancient and evil entities for anything BUT the 'Rite of Ancients' is to invite their presence back unto the surface and hence release them from the bonds that holds them, to the doom of all.

We, the Makers, have spread many Tablets, describing the 'Rite of Ancients' throughout the lands to prevent the knowledge to be gathered without a clear intent.

Mortals - Beware this knowledge, for it can be your saviour as well as your doom......

Pray that this never happens, pray Mortals, that the ancient evil remains buried deep within the earth for all time.
